BAR2R
"Vintage Refind"
Introducing the Bromo BAR2R – Vintage Refined
Bromo presents the BAR2R, an acoustic guitar designed to capture the visual character of classic vintage instruments. Built on a Grand Auditorium body shape, it offers balanced projection and comfortable playability suitable for a wide range of playing styles.
Compared to the BAR1H and BAR1HM, which feature a lighter aged look, the BAR2R showcases a more pronounced yet refined relic treatment. The aging process focuses primarily on appearance, extending from the body finish to the hardware and fittings, creating a cohesive and authentic vintage aesthetic.
Rather than applying a uniform or pre-defined aging pattern, the BAR2R is finished through hand-sprayed lacquer and carefully executed hand sanding. As a result, subtle and natural variations may appear from one instrument to another. While each BAR2R remains visually very similar, no two are completely identical—reflecting a more human, hands-on finishing process while maintaining a consistent and intentional design language.
The BAR2R is an all-solid acoustic guitar, featuring a solid spruce top with solid mahogany back and sides. Tonally, it delivers a natural and balanced response, allowing the visual vintage character to remain the focal point without overshadowing overall musical versatility.
With its understated retro finishes, enhanced aging details, and a thoughtful balance between human touch and visual consistency, the BAR2R blends classic visual appeal, refined craftsmanship, and modern reliability.

Additionally, its modern aesthetic gives an elegant touch, making it an excellent choice for players looking for a refined yet comfortable playing experience.

Body Shape & Bracing System
The Grand Auditorium body shape strikes an ideal balance between proportions and comfort. This versatile design delivers clear articulation, a rich and nuanced tonal spectrum, and smooth, responsive playability, making it an excellent option for players who value both ergonomic feel and expressive performance.
Built around a traditional X-bracing structure, this design ensures a well-balanced tonal response, solid structural integrity, and consistent sound projection.

Back & Sides
On the Bromo BAR2R, the solid back and sides are formed from solid African mahogany, a tonewood prized for its warm and well-balanced character. It contributes focused midrange presence and a smooth, natural warmth, enriching the guitar’s overall voice. Beyond its tonal qualities, the wood enhances the instrument’s classic appearance while delivering a responsive and comfortable playing feel.
Bindings
The binding follows a deliberately simple black-and-white scheme, drawing from traditional acoustic guitar styling. Unadorned and functional, this restrained treatment reflects classic workshop craftsmanship, giving the guitar a clean, honest appearance while subtly reinforcing its timeless vintage character.

Fretting Works
Each fret must be carefully crafted by hand to achieve a smooth curved surface finish, guaranteeing that the player experiences a comfortable and seamless playing experience. This meticulous fretwork contributes significantly to the overall feel and performance of the instrument, enhancing the player's enjoyment and musical expression.

Bone Nut & Saddle & Bridge Pins
The nut and saddle are crafted from genuine vintage bone, a traditional material valued for its tonal clarity and natural resonance. This choice enhances sustain and articulation, delivering a richer, more responsive sound with improved projection and dynamic range.
